What are Semi Cured Wraps?
Gel nail wraps are partially cured gel varnish in a strip form that gives you salon-quality nails without the mess of polish. They deliver a chip-resistant finish that lasts up to 14 days. Unlike extensions or tips, gel wraps are applied directly on top of your natural nail and then cured under a UV lamp to set completely.
When it’s time for a change, they’re easy to remove and switch out, leaving you with beautiful nails and no harsh scraping, drills, or soaking.
How It Works
Every set arrives with 20 gel strips in a range of sizes, ready to fit any fingernail shape. Each strip is made from real liquid gel varnish that has been cured to about 60 percent.
This makes them soft enough to stretch and hug your natural nail perfectly, yet firm enough to stay in place while you work.

To apply your Gelly semi-cured gel wraps, start with clean nails. Wipe each nail with the included alcohol pad to remove oils, then lightly buff for better grip. Select the strip that best matches your nail size and align it edge-to-edge with your nail bed (or size down for a snug fit). Press firmly, smooth out bubbles, trim the excess, and cure under a UV lamp for 60–120 seconds. Finally, file the edge to shape and seal. For stronger adhesion, avoid water, lotions, or heavy use for at least 60 minutes after curing.

Yes! Gelly semi-cured gel wraps are designed to be gentle on natural nails while delivering the long-lasting wear of a salon gel manicure. They’re HEMA-free, 9-free, vegan-friendly, and free from harsh chemicals like formaldehyde, toluene, and DBP (dibutyl phthalate) that are often found in traditional nail products.
Our gel wraps are made from acrylic-based gel resins that flex naturally with your nails during application and cure under UV light. They also use a less invasive removal process that helps prevent thinning or peeling. When applied and removed correctly, they minimize the risk of damage to your natural nails.
💡 Note on sensitivity: Those with very sensitive skin or known acrylic allergies may experience mild irritation. If you’ve had reactions to salon gels before, we recommend doing a quick patch test before full application.
To ensure you get the most out of your Gelly wraps, here are some great application tips:
- Double-edge cure: After the first cure, lightly file the edge, apply a thin layer of Gelly Gloss Top Coat, and cure again.
- Warm-press stretch: Warm each strip between your fingers for 5 seconds before peeling to make them flexible and curve-hugging.
- Cuticle clamp-down: After curing, run a silicone pusher along cuticles and sidewalls to micro-seal the edges and extend wear time.
